Qurʾān Academy for Young Scholars (QAFYS) is an 11 year program where we educate our students to become future scholars and leaders who will be successful in both Deen and dunya, inshāAllāh. The main focus in Grades 2 to 5 is Hifz (Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies, basics of Islam, and Physical Education. The main focus in Grades 6 to 12 is in-depth Islamic Studies (7-Year 'Alim Course), in addition to ALL academic subjects, continuation/review of their Hifz, and Physical Education.
Our mission is to provide an excellent Islamic and academic education within an Islamic environment to produce well rounded Muslims and strong leaders. We train and graduate future leaders and scholars who are successful and influential in both Deen and Dunya. We seek to promote a safe, caring, and supportive environment where our children can attain the knowledge that would enable them to perform as effective citizens in today’s world of Globalization. At the same time they will be attaining such a comprehensive holistic knowledge which includes both spiritual and worldly knowledge in a spiritual environment rich with Islamic teachings, values and practices. We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved in our students’ learning.

Our Alim course prepares young Muslims for success in both Deen and Dunya through comprehensive Islamic studies and practical skill-building.
The Hifzul Quran course enables students to learn to recite and memorize the Quran, providing certification traced back to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In addition to providing Islamic education, we also teach the curriculum provided by the New York State Board of Education. The courses are offered in English and Arabic languages.
